Meet ElIZaBeTh
Small Oven Pastries is run by Elizabeth Berman, a Vermont-based baker with a background in food systems and a deep focus on flavor.
What started as a curiosity about technique became an obsession with getting it right—balancing flavor, refining process, and building desserts that actually deliver.
Everything is made in small batches, by hand, with a focus on craft and consistency.

Zero weird stuff? What does that mean?
No artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives—ever.
We use natural color from plants (like fruits and vegetables) and real ingredients for flavor, including freeze-dried fruit and Vermont maple syrup.
If you can’t recognize it, we don’t use it.
Why don’t you use artificial colors or flavors?
Because we want the flavor to come from the ingredient itself—not a shortcut.
Real ingredients create better balance, better texture, and a better overall bite.
Are your macarons and meringues gluten-free?
Yes.
Macarons are naturally gluten-free, made with almond flour.
Meringues are made from egg whites, sugar, and real flavorings—also naturally gluten-free.
Are your products nut-free or dairy-free?
Macarons always contain almonds and may contain other nuts.
Most macaron fillings include dairy, though some flavors may be dairy-free—check individual product details if you have allergies.
Meringues are naturally nut-free, dairy-free, and fat-free.
Do you offer vegan options?
Not at this time.
We haven’t found a vegan approach that meets our standards for texture and flavor—but we’re always testing.
Are your products made in an allergen-free kitchen?
No.
All products are made in a kitchen that handles nuts, dairy, and other common allergens.
If you have severe allergies, please reach out before ordering.
